Things change rapidly in the WordPress world. The content in this post is more than a year old and may no longer represent best practices.
The East Bay WP Meetup had a party in honor of #wp15, the 15th Anniversary of the launch of WordPress. In addition to the cake, balloons, and stickers, we grouped together to improve our meetup space by adding felt pads to the feet of the heavy metal chairs in the cafeteria.
If you want to get a #wp15 T-shirt like Sallie has, you can order from the WordPress Swag Store. (They have #wp15 mugs, too.) Also, find out more about #wp15 events around the world on the WP15 website.
Special thanks to our event sponsors, Developer Week and Torque.
For the sake of transparency, here’s our income and expense report for the event. Stickers and balloons were donated by WordPress Community Services.
- DeveloperWeek: $100 (donated earlier in the year)
- Torque: $75 (donated specifically for the event)
- Felt Pads for 50 chairs: $22.90
- Helium: $22.93
