Check any of the WordPress job boards and you’ll see requests for membership sites–from people who are expecting to pay, since they plan to make money. That must be why there are so many commercial membership plugins for WordPress.

WordCamp SF 2012 was a dramatic departure from WordCamp SF 2011. While there were some good speakers and topics, the overall effect was unsatisfactory. This presentation addresses some insights on conference planning.
