All about Gutenberg with Karla Leibowitz

Bay Area programmer Karla Leibowitz is a full stack developer working on WordPress sites to add custom front and back end features using PHP, SQL, and HTML, CSS, Javascript and jQuery. She will share her research into Gutenberg: how it works, how it will alter her development projects, and how it will impact her clients.
This new editor is a significant change in how WordPress content is built and updated, providing end users more power to create beautiful and elaborate posts. For developers, its extensible API will allow us to modify the editing experience in a structured and documented manner, and it will push many of us to modify our coding practice to adopt to this purely JavaScript driven development API.
Automattic’s implementation will encourage many of us to step into the more complex development environment of ECMA6 and ReactJS.
